第一個禮拜工作終於告一段落．其中有三天我都3:30pm就下班，輕鬆自在．
今天我supervisor有其他事，所將”電流分解蛋白膠” (SDS-PAGE) 的重大責任交給我．身為菜鳥一號的我，戰戰兢兢的接下大任．心想反正前三天看大家做這個已經看到熟了，應該是輕而一舉吧？
結果是糗事一籮筐啊！Gel是成功的做成了，但是要放進電流箱裡的時候卻卡到．親愛的杜羅尼歐教授 (Dr. Duronio, the lab professor) 剛好在旁邊，就趁機讓他展現一下他多年的電膠經驗．沒想到他跟我一樣都忘光光了，兩個人搞的霧煞煞，到最後幸好有一位老經驗的慈祥沙襪 (Sarwat) 女士解救了我們．
之後要把膠上的蛋白轉送到膠模的時候，又一度搞笑．應該要用PVDF的模，卻拿到nitrocellulose．照著PVDF的處裡方式浸泡在methanol後，在泡在另一個Buffer裡．結果一泡下去差點吐血．就看那片膠模慢慢的從被methanol軟化後，急速的硬化變成一坨不知什麼碗糕．趕緊把沙襪女士請回來．他的反應十分經典：＂I’ve never seen anything like that!!!!＂看來嚇到他老人家了，趕緊收拾我的爛攤子虛心請教．
看來，快樂的日子已不再了．要好好的複習一下不然哪天再下到他還得了．
